When users point their cellphone in a certain direction, the phone shows a 2.5d image of what you're looking at! The "au design" show had a stage filled with young japanese hipsters playing their cellphones as a band. Video of band to come soon.
Korea's THEMAP showed off its H300 outdoor gps unit by submerging it in water. The unit features a non-glare, transflective 3.5" TFT LCD (QVGA 320x240) touch screen; electronic compass; and a battery life of five hours during normal navigation.
